**Head of Production**

**Rawside** is a family organisation providing high quality bespoke furniture, alongside standard case goods that we supply to our customers in volume. The business has seen exceptional growth in recent years and has recently relocated from our original London facility to a purpose built 20,000 square foot facility in a lovely location on the edge of the South Downs National Park, near Alresford, Hampshire. We have made a considerable investment into our new facility with two new Homag CNC machines to run alongside our other best in class machinery. We have further high ambitions to grow and expand over the next 3-5 years.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our Senior Management Team who can take ownership of all aspects of manufacturing operations and production from receipt of the order through to customer delivery via your own team of team leaders.

**Purpose of Role**

To manage the production of high-quality volume case goods and bespoke joinery products within budget and in a safe and timely manner.

To oversee the workflow of purchasing, planning, machinery, joinery workshop, finishing shop operations, deliveries and after sales service. Also ensuring that planning, managing, and implementation schedules are in place and managed daily meeting deadlines both internally and externally. Working with colleagues to introduce cost saving, problem solving methodologies and efficiency gains as part of continuous improvement.

**What You’ll do**:

- Liaising with sales and design and reviewing sales orders, drawings, design and specifications.
- Once authorised adding all items for manufacture to our production software and planning and managing the production schedule.
- Working out material take-offs and working closely with procurement to ensure inventory and non-inventory materials are held in stock and or are ordered within adequate lead times.
- Manage the timber stock and usage, liaising with the purchasing department and CNC department ensuring the right timber is always on hand.
- Manage the workload of your Supervisors and Production Team in order that completion dates are achieved
- Manage daily / weekly production meetings
- Track the progress of all jobs through the workshop/finishing shop and monitor against delivery schedule
- Liaise with warehouse and our Installations Manager to ensure production meets delivery and installation schedules.
- Be responsible for ensuring work is of the highest standard and that quality control protocols are adhered to
- Deliver a well-rounded joinery knowledge to assist with queries from all departments and be integral in expanding knowledge, quality, processes and efficiencies.
- Show high levels of communication with all staff
- Report on progress in weekly production meetings with Directors
- Managing and improving joinery practices to ensure efficiency and quality is maintained
- Review processes and identify and improve workshop efficiencies and improvements
- Manage and support the team with a collaborative approach and high levels of communication.
- Ensure that the workshop is kept tidy and well organised
- Ensure that the workshop is safe and that H&S requirements are met and Communicate any Health and Safety issues promptly to Directors.
- Develop employee skills and career progression via coaching and training as required by the business
