**Administration Assistant**

Salary £20,000 - £23,000 - dependent on experience

Hours Monday to Friday: 09.00 - 17.30

Our client is a successful family-owned business based in Royston. We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join a friendly and professional team.

Supporting the office carrying out a range of administration and business-related support tasks. Being the main point of contact for the office, answering the phone and assisting visitors onsite.

**Responsibilities**:
**Answering calls** and dealing with all correspondences

**Monitoring Systems**:Monitor the ODS (Order Delivery System) to plan deliveries. Liaise with the production team to obtain the information needed.

**Customer deliveries**: Ensure parcels are dispatched on time by booking courier companies. Use various online booking systems to send parcels via DHL Express, Royal Mail and International Companies. This will include weighing, measuring andmaybe packing items to assist the workshop to get deliveries out on time.

**Local Delivery**:Organise the schedule for the company delivery driver. Liaising with clients regarding delivery schedules.

**Create Job Cards**:During the process of converting a quote to a sales order,create a job card for the production team.

**Stock control**: Ordering stock for the whole company. Using the internal purchase ordering system, creating purchase orders. Checking and negotiating prices with suppliers. Checking delivery notes and collating the information. Post-delivery,regularly check and obverse the ordering and make sure the workshop team are scanning items in and out correctly.

- Excellent level of verbal and written communication skills
- Able to adapt and work in a busy office.
- Strong organisation skills
- Confident to make quick decisions
- Experience in IT software
- Attention to detail
- 12 months+ experience in an office environment
- Experience of Excel creating formulas - desirable
