**Purchasing Administrator, Royston Hertfordshire -**

We are a successful company that has been in business for over 50 years supplying tableware and catering equipment to restaurants, hotels and other types of food service establishments. Our main office is set in the heart of Royston, Hertfordshire. It is **3 minutes walking from the train station **and **5 minutes walking from the main high street**.

This is an excellent chance to develop and learn in a business that is constantly and rapidly modernising to remain at the forefront of its industry.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Planning, maintaining and raising of purchase orders with suppliers working with their deadlines
- Working closely with our sales and customer services teams to understand and formulate stock requirements
- Working with our logistics team to monitor, report and control stock levels to optimum levels
- Contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes and maximising stock turns
- Assisting with the managing of working relationships with suppliers
- Identifying potential areas for savings in supplier terms and conditions, whilst ensuring that all suppliers adhere to these.

**You will need to have**:

- Previous experience of a purchasing role
- An excellent understanding of good service
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Be highly organised, numerate and accurate
- Understand Sage 200 or an alternative ERP/accounting system ,and MS Excel, Word & Outlook
- Experience in negotiating and working with suppliers and SLA’s

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme

- Royston: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Purchasing: 2 years (required)
- accounting systems: 1 year (required)
