Milestone Infrastructure are the leading provider of highways infrastructure in the UK and look after in excess of 24,000 miles of roads, 280,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with mínimal impact to local communities.

Recently Milestone Infrastructure have been awarded a 7-year contract to provide a broad range of highway services to Central Bedfordshire Council covering design, construction and maintenance. As a result we are looking to recruit an experienced Business Administrator to join the team in Central Bedfordshire office based near Dunstable.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the entire team working on a variety of maintenance work packages
- Ensuring work packs are brought together in a timely manner; all health and safety information, design information and supporting details are available (request what isn’t already available)
- Support delivery of performance indicator improvement plans helping us to meet targets
- Aiding the Supervision and Management team with administrative duties such as printing, scanning, meeting booking and note decision and action log taking, adding near miss and business improvement actions to the internal systems.
- Aiding the Supervisors whilst learning how to produce and input Traffic Management Assessments
- Aiding the Supervisors whilst learning how to conduct and write up site safety audits and ensure actions are followed up
- Visitor induction on arrival
- Training coordination - budget (including CPC)
- Cost capture work allocation (timesheets input)
- Holiday admin
- Equipment bookings projector, conference call unit
- Stationery order and budget
- Tool box talk register
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties required by line management
- Provide assistance in programming within the team
- Filing compliance paperwork: MOT, LOLER, PMI, driver defects (prior to e-version) filing and logging drivers’ hours.
- Tracking jobs/job numbers against invoices
- Vehicle VOR procedures where necessary.
- Winter Maintenance calibration
- Salt store admin
- Service Inspections
- Requests for parts and maintenance
- Vehicle tracking and reporting
- Plant - on hire and off hire
- Plant defect negotiations - refunds
- Compliance checks plant programme monitoring 12 weeks - Long-term hires.
- Plant Serial number admin and HAVS records

**Personal Qualities**
- Capable of working on own initiative using tact and diplomacy.
- Flexible, hands on, can do attitude.
- Resilience and excellent organisational skills are necessary to work in this fast-paced environment and good IT skills are essential.
- Excellent computer skills including basic knowledge of word, outlook and excel,
- Good communication skills,
- Punctual, with a good work ethic
