The post holder will be responsible for delivering, developing and supporting the equality and inclusion agenda as part of the Trust wide Specialist Perinatal Service. This will include a key role in supporting and developing mechanisms for service users, families and carers to influence and have a say in development of the services. The post is about influencing/championing the voice of service users, families and carers in the way services develop/operate and ensuring they are meeting diverse needs and promoting equal access to services. Key links: Equality and Inclusion development managers; service managers/clinicians in all service delivery groups; stakeholder groups, BME/public health workers; corporate development team; local involvement groups/networks; voluntary sector organisations; local public sector agencies; customer services and communications team.

**Key Result Areas**: Work within and support the structure for public involvement, social inclusion, equality and diversity. Influence and advise senior level management groups and individuals to ensure that the interests of service users, families and carers are fully considered in the development of Trust Wide Specialist Perinatal Service. Support the development of a more mutually based organisation which works in a partnership and is accountable to local communities. This would include supporting the development and maintenance of a membership base which is representative of the communities served by the Trust.

Organise, develop and facilitate dialogue groups to enable people to have a say in the development of the Trust Wide Specialist Perinatal Service. This approach should include ways of engaging people from more excluded groups. Contribute to the monitoring of dialogue groups, ensuring issues are identified and addressed by the relevant service area. For full job description, please see attached supporting documents
