Opportunity to work in improving outcomes for children in Devon in the role of Child Protection Conference Chair

Management support in gaining outcomes for children

Supported in resolving disputes to keep child safe and improve outcomes

The role:

- Chairing Child Protection Case Conferences
- Having pre discussions with Social Workers, Team Managers, partners and parents/carers to ensure the conference is effective in mitigating risk
- Producing good quality multi agency outline child protection plans to mitigate risks.
- Monitoring the progress of child protection plans through review periods (mid-way checks) and use these to drive planning
- Visiting children where necessary
- Promoting and driving the use of advocacy
- Making use of dispute resolution in improving outcomes

Hybrid expectation:
There is significant scope for working from home however there is an expectation that the applicant must be able to come to Devon once or twice a week to chair ICPC's or where a family asks for it (RCPC's are currently being completed on teams) and will need to come in for Team meeting meetings when required.

No subsistence offered for travel/accommodation

Initial 3 months

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
