A digital agency in Glasgow is looking for an experienced UX Consultant to join the growing team. They've been going through a lot of re-structuring lately and feel like there is a bit of a skills gap within the design team, hence why they are looking to add a UX'er.

They've been doing really well lately, winning a lot of new clients and are also being kept busy with existing clients too. They work with clients across both the public and private sector, and work with a lot of well-known UK & worldwide brands.

**What will I be doing and who will I be working with?**

Great question

They're looking for someone to come in as a UX Consultant where you'll work closely with both clients and internal teams. They need someone to come in as the go-to person for user experience strategy & user research. At the moment, they have a design team that are very skilled in visual design and graphic design but no UX specialists, which is what they're looking for.

Your role will be to work closely with clients to understand their requirements and understand what users need from the website or app. From there, you'll decide if any specific research needs done and if it does, conduct this research and document your findings. Then from here, you'd be expected to work with the design & development teams to build whatever the client is looking for. They will expect you to be involved in the design of low fidelity wireframes but if high fidelity wireframing isn't your bag, then no worries at all.

**Who am I?**

They really want someone that is confident in running workshops and can guide a client through the experience of what they're looking to build. They're ideally looking for someone that has experience working within digital agencies as they'll be able to come in and hit the ground running. This isn't essential though They are looking for someone at quite a senior level as it's an important role for them.

If you have any experience of visual design, then that would be a massive bonus to them but not something that is required.

**What are the benefits and where will I be based?**

The company have offices in both Edinburgh & Glasgow and ask you to come into the office a couple of times per week.

They don't really have a specific budget in mind for the role but are willing to market rates, so can up to around £65,000, depending on experience of course. On top of this, they have a strong benefits package which includes private medical insurance, training budget, enhanced maternity/paternity and the opportunity to work condensed hours and a shorter week.
