Join this pioneer of evolving technology in the heart of Glasgow as their first UX/UI Designer Play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of their upcoming platform iteration. Collaborate closely with the Development team, defining the user interface design whilst maintaining close connections with the business and customer needs.

They have a ‘people first’ approach and work/life balance is at the forefront of their minds. This is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days per week in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

UX/UI Designer role responsibilities:

- Identify the necessary UX/UI components for each software module and feature.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and test new ideas.
- Utilise Git and GitHub for tasks such as checking out, committing, pushing, pulling, generating pull requests, reviewing, and resolving merge conflicts.
- Contribute to product documentation planning and design.

Essential skills required of the UX/UI Designer:

- 5+ years of experience in UX design, emphasising comfortable user experiences.
- Robust portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work that highlights a process centred on users and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and/or Adobe Creative Suite for generating both designs and digital assets for user interfaces.

Desirable skills:

- Familiarity with automated build processes.
- Knowledge of UI automation tools for testing purposes.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge about common image formats, their strengths and weaknesses, and how to convert between them.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a UX/UI Designer to work with a market leader who invest heavily in their staff. The position offers a salary of up to £62,000 with excellent benefits including a discretionary bonus, 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) and multiple wellness and social activities to support a healthy work-life balance and positive working environment.
