Homes Editor, Techradar

Bath, United Kingdom Future Publishing Full time

TechRadar is looking to expand the team behind its successful Appliances and Smart Home channel with a second editor to help support its next phase of growth.

Home content has become a crucial part of TechRadar’s world-class tech coverage, with smart home, appliances, lighting and more all evolving to interweave with more ‘typical’ devices, and we need a brilliant editor to provide our deep expertise in this area too.

**What you'll be doing**

As Homes Editor at TechRadar, you'll be writing news, features, reviews, ecommerce deal articles and SEO-focused content for the site, plus performing other editorial duties as required, as well as playing a key, senior role in event coverage. You'll be responsible for meeting all your deadlines and liaising with colleagues to ensure you produce high-quality content that, above all else, meets the needs of the readers.

To achieve this, you'll develop a schedule of regular articles you'll need to create and update, working closely with the editor to manage a freelance budget and internal / external contributors, as well as responding to other requests - all designed to get the profile of our Home content as high as possible. You may also, on infrequent occasions, be required to travel overseas or work weekends and evenings for key events (with prior consultation with your editor, and time returned fairly and promptly where necessary) as the Homes channel coverage dictates.

**Experience that will put you ahead of the curve**
- Fantastic writing skills.
- Good understanding of SEO.
- Experience of writing for online.
- A good knowledge of the home technology industry.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent spelling and grammar.
- Confident reviewer of appliances and smart home gadgets and willing to teach others and develop new tests too.

**What's in it for you**

We have a number of awesome perks available to our staff. We offer huge opportunities to learn and develop, whether through professional qualifications, exposure to incredible business projects or informal lunch & learns, hosted by your colleagues. We have a fantastic culture where we really do care about our people and want everyone to succeed. Varied roles mean you’re not pigeonholed in to one finite area but get the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience

And to top it all off, not only do we offer unlimited holiday because we trust you to manage your workload and time but we also offer a share in our success whereby every colleague is eligible to join our profit pool bonus scheme - if Future hits their performance targets all colleagues may receive a bonus.
- _Internal job family level E5._

The expected range for this role is £29,000 - £35,000.

This is a Hybrid role from our Bath Office, working three days from the office, two from home.

**_ Wh_**o are we**
- We’re Future. We’re 3000+ colleagues over 250+ brands speaking to 400 million people every month across the globe through websites, events and magazines. We’ve got ambitious plans that build on our growth momentum and unlock new opportunities and we’re looking for talented people who want to be a part of it. _

**Our Future, Our Responsibility - Inclusion and Diversity at Future**

We have a voice and we’re going to use it. We promote diversity and inclusion not just in our recruitment processes, but everything we do. We’re an equal opportunity employer and we will continue to ensure our recruitment process is free of bias and our workplaces are inclusive, positive, free of discrimination and respecting of all backgrounds and beliefs. **Please let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments made so we can give you the best experience**
