Bath, United Kingdom Future Publishing Full time

TechRadar exists for one simple, essential purpose: to help our readers buy, enjoy and get the most from the tech they love.

We’re passionate about, and committed to, the idea that we can recommend the best products and experiences to people without being boring and dry; that we can write for a wide audience and still make every reader feel like we’re talking to them personally; and we you can entertain readers at the same time as informing them.

What you'll be doing…

TechRadar is one of the biggest and most trusted names in both tech journalism and the wider industry, and we’re looking for a passionate writer who can come in and quickly put their stamp on TechRadar’s flagship mobiles channel. We’re looking for someone with experience of writing about smartphones, tablets, their associated accessories and mobile operating systems, and a drive to help develop and grow one of the best consumer tech publications on the planet.

Your role will be helping our readers to find their next smartphone or tablet. This means you’ll need to be passionate about mobile technology, have an understanding of how to exhaustively test the latest phones, (not just iPhones) and be the go-to person for recommending an upgrade with confidence and authority.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

  • Fantastic writing skills.
  • Experience of writing for online, preferably around mobile technology.
  • An ability to explain complex subjects in a clear and easily understood fashion.
  • A strong knowledge of the mobile technology market.
  • The ability to produce in-depth, informative and engaging product reviews.
  • A growing contacts book of relevant PR and brand managers.
  • An understanding of SEO and traffic data.

What's in it for you…

We have a number of awesome perks available to our staff.  We offer huge opportunities to learn and develop, whether through professional qualifications, exposure to incredible business projects or informal lunch & learns, hosted by your colleagues. We have a fantastic culture where we really do care about our people and want everyone to succeed. Varied roles mean you’re not pigeonholed in to one finite area but get the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience

And to top it all off, not only do we offer unlimited holiday because we trust you to manage your workload and time but we also offer a share in our success whereby every colleague is eligible to join our profit pool bonus scheme - if Future hits their performance targets all colleagues may receive a bonus.

Internal job family level E7.

The expected range for this role is £24,000 to £30,000.

This is a Hybrid role from our Bath Office, working three days from the office, two from home.

Who are we…

We’re Future. We’re 3000+ colleagues over 250+ brands speaking to 400 million people every month across the globe through websites, events and magazines. We’ve got ambitious plans that build on our growth momentum and unlock new opportunities and we’re looking for talented people who want to be a part of it.

Our Future, Our Responsibility - Inclusion and Diversity at Future

We have a voice and we’re going to use it. We promote diversity and inclusion not just in our recruitment processes, but everything we do. We’re an equal opportunity employer and we will continue to ensure our recruitment process is free of bias and our workplaces are inclusive, positive, free of discrimination and respecting of all backgrounds and beliefs.
