**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of HR, as an Employment Relations Specialist you'll be responsible for partnering with our managers across the business to support them to make informed and compliant people decisions. You'll also support the delivery of HR projects (including TUPE), and inputting into policies and procedures.

This role would suit a rounded HR Specialist looking to progress into a HR Business Partner role in the future. It's a highly visible role that works across our business to ensure managers and colleagues are well-supported.

Key responsibilities include:

- Owning the delivery of overall ER activity in the business, ensuring all actions are being progressed in a timely and appropriate way, escalating as appropriate.
- Providing consistent support and pragmatic guidance to managers across the business on employment law matters, including performance improvement, disciplinary, grievances, appeals, and absence/wellbeing cases, managing any risks appropriately to minimise business impact.
- Supporting the delivery of specific HR projects across the People team, including inbound and outbound TUPE programmes.
- Delivering coaching and training to managers as required in order to promote the right conversations happening at the right time in the right way.
- Developing and providing accurate data/trends/insights to the business on ER activity, to assist us in driving improvements in our business (e.g. to support the L&D team on development activity).
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of wider HR processes, systems and practices.

**Skills and experience**:

- Experience in a fast-paced business managing ER cases end-to-end with confidence and sensitivity.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant employment legislation, inbound and outbound TUPE, plus management/leadership good practice.
- Experience working in a matrix structure and influencing through partnership.
- Demonstrable experience in coaching and mentoring managers.
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrable ability to influence and persuade.
- Good commercial acumen in order to balance the needs of business and people.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills - complex issues are broken down and options/approaches evaluated and presented thoughtfully.
- Resilient, practical and a self-starter; comfortable with working on own and in teams.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
- Good time management - able to balance competing priorities and manage those priorities with business stakeholders.
- Maintains own continued professional development.
