**About Us**

Peak Wildlife Park is a wildlife conservation centre located in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands. We are dedicated to the preservation, education, and enjoyment of the world's diverse animal species. Our goal is to inspire our visitors to learn more about the natural world and engage with wildlife conservation efforts.

**The Role**

We are currently seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our Maintenance Team. This multi-faceted role requires a versatile, energetic, and service-oriented individual who can seamlessly transition between various duties across the park. Your role will be a varied one covering all aspects of maintenance, and will require you to work outside in all weather conditions.

**Responsibilities**
- Strimming and maintaining the park’s lawns, grasslands and animal enclosures
- Carrying out general gardening duties
- Maintaining and jet washing pathways
- Working to ensure the completion of all planned park maintenance work
- Using heavy machinery and carrying out general ground work and labouring
- Direct vehicles in the car park to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, assist with parking, and provide information to visitors upon arrival. Monitor car park areas for safety and cleanliness
- Ensure the park grounds and facilities are clean and well-maintained, including litter picking, and cleaning public areas
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the guest services area, ensuring all signage, literature, and promotional materials are up-to-date and well-stocked.
- Act as an ambassador for the zoo, promoting its conservation efforts, educational programs, and upcoming events.
- Adhere to all zoo policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of both guests and animals.

**Requirements**:

- Experience strimming, mowing, hedge cutting and tree pruning
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Keen to learn and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full, clean driving license
- Proven experience of at least one trade is desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required
- A strong interest in wildlife conservation and education

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
