This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to take on a unique role within the Cancer Centre. The post is focused on delivering a programme of work to review cancer pathways from referral, through treatment, to follow up and living with and beyond cancer in line with the local and national priorities.

We are looking for someone who can work efficiently and effectively collaboratively with key stakeholders across the wider healthcare community.

**You must**:
Be able to demonstrate an excellent range of communication skills, work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines, have excellent organisational skills and work autonomously to make effective decisions as well as interact effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

**You will need**:

- Experience of working in the NHS with project/programme

management or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of patient administrative systems
- Knowledge of Cancer Pathways and current cancer priorities
- Knowledge of current cancer targets
- Track record of leading and managing and working within a team
- Experience of user and carer involvement in service development

The post holder will be aligned to the Cancer Centre which is within a corporate arm of the Trust management structure. This will ensure the post holder is supported, with clearly defined lines of accountability and Governance.

The post holder is a pivotal member to the Cancer Centre Team, has the overall vision and timeline for what is needed to be achieved, avoid duplication of tasks, create more opportunities to utilise expertise within the teams to focus on key deliverables, develop consistent pathways across the region, agree with all stakeholders and implement pathways that based on the total needs of the patient journey from referral to survivorship.

Specifically, the post holder will be responsible for leading and project managing the successful delivery of national, regional and locally agreed cancer pathway redesigns, addressing performance and service issues and quality improvement. This post-holder will also be responsible for ensuring project team members deliver the necessary changes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of the priorities as defined by the Cancer Centre Management Team.
