**About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services**

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.

Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a difference and support people on their journey towards a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home rather than just a shelter.

**About the Job**

An exciting opportunity has came up for an accommodation lead who will be responsible for two supported accommodations in Durham County. Which houses single people who are referred from Durham County Council. Auckland House is a 56-day provision for priority need females in Chester-Le-Street and The North eastern is part assessment centre and supported accommodation for males in Spennymoor. The accommodation lead will be managing a passionate and motivated team of support workers.

The lead will be expected to travel between the North and South of Durham (where both services are based) and be present in services each day.

You will be leading on two teams of support workers, who are committed, motivated and passionate.

The aim of the service is to ensure that people who are accessing, are tenancy ready by using a person-centred approach and ensuring that our people are tenancy ready. As the accommodation lead, you will support your staff team to ensure that our aims are met.
