Job Description: Midwife

**Duties**:

- Provide comprehensive prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care to pregnant individuals
- Conduct regular check-ups and monitor the health of both the pregnant individual and the fetus
- Educate and counsel pregnant individuals on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
- Assist with the delivery of babies, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
- Provide emotional support to pregnant individuals and their families throughout the pregnancy journey
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians, pediatricians, and nurses, to ensure optimal care for patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients

**Requirements**:

- Certificate in Nursing or related field (degree in Midwifery preferred)
- Valid state license or certification as a Midwife
- Proven experience working as a Midwife in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of prenatal care, childbirth techniques, and postpartum care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to pregnant individuals and their families
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £20.00-£37.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- South East London, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- NHS Nursing: 2 years (required)
