**Student Services**

The Directorate of Student Services is responsible for nurturing wellness, supporting individual needs, helping students in crisis, improving retention, and enabling positive experiences through residential life and extra-curricular activities. Working in partnership across academic schools and professional services, our teams seek to provide a network of support throughout the student journey and strive to optimise student success.

The Directorate includes the following teams: Student Services Projects, Student Hub, Residential Life, Student Life, Student Conduct Team, Student Experience Retention and Success Unit, Academic Tutors, Disability and Dyslexia, Regional Access Centre, Student Wellbeing Service, Student Money Advice and Rights, Independent Sexual and Domestic Violence Advice, and Student Services Operations.

**About the Job**

This is an exciting new role for UEL. Your focus will be to provide students with effective and appropriate advice and guidance to enable students to optimally navigate through the UEL student journey. You will be a key point of contact for international students and will triage their enquiry and signpost international students to the most appropriate professional student support service.

This role will be passionate about developing resources to support students with both their academic and personal welfare related matters. The role holder will be encouraged to play a leading role in supporting the effective marketing and promotion of international support structures to ensure students and staff are able to access appropriate advice and support.

You will work closely with key customers to identify what that provision will look like. UEL is proud of its diverse student and staff population, and you will need to have a good understanding of how to meet the needs of our community.

**About You**
- Be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to forge positive relationships with key customers.
- Be able to work as part of a team on the shared goal of supporting students effectively and ensuring early intervention is provided.
- Have a strong, proven dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
