An exciting new opportunity has been developed for an administrative role within the NUH Alcohol Care Team (ACT) hospital liaison service. The ACT are looking for a dynamic and organised individual with an enthusiasm for working as part of a team. As a general Clinic Administrator for the ACT you will work within a team of dedicated care professionals and support the services administrative needs and processes. In efficiently running the administrative responsibilities of the role you will make a direct positive impact on patient care and promote and represent the core values of NUH.

The Alcohol Care Team is a hospital liaison services based at QMC, and covering both QMC and City campus. The service is dedicated to direct input of the safety and care of patients experiencing substance use, and therefore data keeping and administrative support is an integral part of maintaining the continuity of care initiative.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As the ACT General Clinic Administrator you will be responsible for the daily administrative duties to support the effective functioning of the service. General administrative duties will include:

- Data input of sensitive patient information.
- Use a printer and photocopier/scanner.
- Use appropriate electronic hospital systems.
- Answering the telephone and ensuring all queries are dealt with in a suitable manner depending on the nature of the call.
- General office duties.
- Supporting colleagues with general administrative based queries.
- Appropriate storage of sensitive information.
- Working as part of a team and managing professional relationships.
- Uphold and promote the Trusts values and behaviours at all times.

Person specification

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
- To be educated to ‘O’ level, GCSE or equivalent standard including English at Grade C
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
- Previous experience in an office environment
- Experience of MS Office
- Typing or word processing experience

Desirable criteria
- Customer Service

Communication & Relationship skills

- Ability to work as part of a team

Planning & Organisational Skills

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

NUH will scan your ID and right to work documentation in to the Trust ID system at your face to face ID appointment. The system will run a check against the key security features within your documentation. The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.

- Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service - I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the **Occupational Health Department **confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
