**Starting Salary: £26,500 **_(Dependant on experience)_
**About the role**:You will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to individuals with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) needs, assisting them in developing and enhancing their employability skills and helping with integration into the local community. This role involves coordinating and delivering a range of services to support service users in gaining employment and advancing their careers, while ensuring their linguistic and cultural needs are met.

**Required criteria**:
- Familiarity with employability skills development, job placement, and career counselling.
- Ability to evaluate service users progress toward their employment goals, adjusting support strategies as needed.
- Experience of working closely with service users, employers and other stakeholders to facilitate successful integration into mainstream society.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with organisations to provide a steady flow of service users to the programme.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Cultural sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with service users from various backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple service users and caseloads and to prioritize effectively.
- The ability to engage with charities and refugee organisations to encourage the referral of service users to the scheme.
**Desirable criteria**:
- Ability to speak other languages (Arabic, French, Tigrinya and Spanish) commonly spoken by the local communities.
- Knowledge of local labour markets, industries, and employer needs
- Knowledge of community and charitable organisations that represent refugees.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, particularly those with limited English proficiency.
- Proficiency in using computer software and tools for data management, documentation, and presentation.
- Have the ability/access to drive across different sites across Teesside and Darlington.

Information, Advice & Guidance
- Provide guidance and resources for service users to navigate workplace challenges, such as cultural differences and workplace integration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting progress, services provided, and outcomes achieved.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify service users’ existing skills and areas for improvement.
- Provide tailored support on employability skills, including CV writing, interview techniques, job searching and workplace etiquette.
- Assist service users in identifying and accessing appropriate vocational training and employment opportunities.
Community Engagement
- Establish and maintain relationships with community organisations, educational institutions, and employment agencies to expand access to resources and opportunities for service users.
- Participate in community events, workshops, and job fairs to promote the program and recruit potential clients.
- Collaborate with local employers to identify job opportunities suitable for service users’ skills and qualifications.
