**Description of role**:To lead the PMO ensuring effective project management of high complexity projects and programmes across the company. To drive project process improvements to manage project risk and improve project delivery. To yourself manage complex projects and programmes of work and mentor junior project managers.

**Overall responsibility**:As PMO lead you will lead the company’s PMO process and mentor junior project managers to ensure effective project management of projects that are run through the PMO office. You will yourself programme manage the high complexity programmes using project management methodologies to work with cross functional teams to deliver new products and services on time, within budget and to a high quality. You will ensure project activities are planned, monitored with progress and issues clearly communicated. You will work with the functional and pillar leads to run the OKR process and help drive up completion rates of the strategic projects across the company.

**Key areas of responsibility**:

- To mentor and develop the PMO team and project leads developing their skills in project management
- Work with PMO and project leads (gathering information) to enable providing a regular one-page newsletter to keep stakeholders informed of the progress of the projects within PMO.
- To utilise project management software to manage projects and assist others in the use of project management tools.
- Monitor programmes and projects in PMO to inform senior internal stakeholders of project health, risks and develop KPIs to show improvement and key success criteria of PMO.
- To continuously improve the methodologies and processes utilised in PMO.

Assist in the project start-up phase of new projects entering PMO, ensuring the right projects enter PMO and that good practice is followed to plan project delivery.
- Chair cross functional PMO meetings, programme, and project meetings, ensuring agendas and meeting materials are provided in advance, minutes and decisions are logged and communicated after the meeting.
- To develop the project registry and project review process with the Exec to ensure projects have appropriate governance.
- To own a PMO Dependency Log, and have oversight of project RAID logs, working with teams to put in place mitigations and escalating risks and issues to the Exec for timely action where required.
- To administer the OKR process with function and pillar leads across the business, monitoring OKR completion and driving improving completion results.
- To develop our utility of our project management software, Wrike, acting as the system administrator.
