We have a new opportunity for a passionate and experienced Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) professional to join an established HR Team with an appetite for change, to further develop and expand our ED&I influence across the Planning Inspectorate.As ED&I Officer you will report to the Head of Human Resources, collaborating across the business including our employee networks and Senior Leadership team to provide a joined
- up approach to ED&I.

You should be confident to challenge the status quo and have the desire to help drive our ambition to become an exemplar of ED&I. Facilitation and/or training delivery experience will be fundamental as will dealing with sensitive and complex situations and conversations. This role is not about box-tickingor optics. It's about effecting real change that will have a lasting impact on our people, our customers and our communities.

**Essential Criteria**
- Knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion good practice in a business environment.
- An understanding of the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty.
- Experience of giving advice to key stakeholders on ED&I.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience of cultural sensitivities and how they might impact business need.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Experience of dealing with Trade Unions or working in a unionised environment
