Role overview

This role is within our Group Communications team and will involve working with colleagues within our Group IT, HR, Finance, Operations and Legal functions to deliver their communications to colleagues across our global business.

There will never be two days the same in this role, as our business is busy with lots of new initiatives that need to be communicated to colleagues across the Howden Group.

**Responsibilities**:
Communications delivery:

- Assisting with and producing content for internal channels that is inspirational, informative and engaging.
- Supporting our functions in building their internal brand.
- Acting as an employee advocate and championing employee engagement methodologies.
- Organising and updating relevant video content displayed on the office TV screens.
- Working with the wider communications team and stakeholders to implement content as required and gather news stories to create our bi-weekly newsletter.
- Proof-reading as required.
- Supporting internal teams when required, helping them to deliver high-quality and impactful communications to their areas.

Advising, Planning and Measurement:

- Act, and be recognised as a trusted internal communications adviser to your internal stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate communications metrics are employed to review and monitor the effectiveness of communications with the objective of continuous improvement.

Skills and abilities needed to perform the role
- Strong copywriting skills and very good attention to detail.
- Able to convey information clearly and succinctly to a diverse range of audiences across our global network - which may or may not have English as their first language.
- Creative and lateral thinking, combined with good problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and with an enquiring mind - not afraid to ask questions.
- Creativity and the ability to identify, build and deliver on and offline content using a wide range of techniques for a variety of internal channels.
- Capable of translating jargon into easily accessible communications.
- Listening and influencing skills.
- The ability to build relationships and empathise with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Highly organised and capable of prioritising multiple projects.

Your experience
- We would like you to have at least two years’ experience within internal or change communications, or product marketing roles.
- We would like you to have experience in technology or product communications.
- You are looking for an opportunity to showcase your internal communication skills in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Professional Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree-level (or equivalent), with a Marketing or Communications major.
