**Main Tasks of the Master Data Specialist**
- **Complexity Management**
- Prioritise own workload in support of business requirements
- Contribute to problem solving; provide solutions based upon process knowledge
- Appreciation of impact of business integration and master data activities on local business operations
- ** Coordination & Planning**
- Coordinate and execute the master data management processes
- Ensure that master data changes are agreed with the assigned data owner in accordance with site procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to provide backup/proficiency for all aspects of master data management
- Appreciation of context of data management in the Order Fulfilment process, and Operational Impact of change
**Drive Execution of Daily Activities**:
- Drives activities to completion
- Maintain clear direction and focus with the data team and wider data management organisation
- Lead changes to working practices; ability to work flexibly in response to business needs
- Lead sub-streams of the annual master data review process; contribute to upkeep of standards (e.g. standard costs)
- Coordinate LIMS User Access Review
- Create/modify derivation rules; appreciation of the link between derivation rules and associated master data
- Create/modify batch determination rules; appreciation of the link between batch determination rules and associated master data
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Improve the robustness of the master data management processes
- Implementation of self-inspection techniques; implementation of measurement systems, monitoring and improvements
- Implement and support process improvements using Operational Excellence principles
**Problem Solving**:
- Lead low level complexity problems
- Resolve local data conflicts and issues
