**Interim Principal Planning Officer**

**Pay rate: Up to £55.00 per hour PAYE depending on experience**
**Role Length**:
**This opening assignment is for 6 months**
**Hybrid role, must be in the office on Wednesdays**
- Prepare officer reports including conditions and heads of terms for S106 agreements.
- Point of contact for legal, admin officers, consultees, developers and other specialists.
- Adhere to data protection and GDPR standards.
- Ensure deadlines are met and decisions are issued within the agreed timeframes.
- Carry out any additional duties or functions, as may be requested by management.

**Qualifications**:

- MRTPI qualification.
- Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

**Experience & Knowledge**:

- A track record of managing a caseload of large schemes, working with stakeholders and consultees to deliver homes and meeting deadlines.
- Good working knowledge and some experience of using document management systems and databases.
- Appreciation of urban design and development economics.

**Skills**:

- Strong team working skills.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- A self-starter and can work independently with commitment, a high level of energy and ability to achieve excellent performance and accuracy whilst providing a first-rate level of customer service.
- High level communication and presentation skills including clear, concise reporting and correspondence particularly concerning complex or controversial issues.
- The ability to communicate with people of different social, economic and professional backgrounds.
- Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Able to attend evening and other out of hours meetings and events when required.
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite) particularly Excel and Word.
