**Department**:
Hull York Medical School is committed to transforming the health of people within the region and beyond - through its students, staff and the impact of its teaching and research. The joint medical school of the Universities of Hull and York, Hull York Medical School has a reputation as one of the UKs most exciting, contemporary schools. Alongside celebrating our 20th Anniversary, this year will see the conclusion of the expansion of our undergraduate medical programme which has been ongoing since 2020.

This is a fixed-term or secondment opportunity (with line-manager approval) where you will be part of the Project Office - a friendly, approachable and dedicated team, with a shared vision for the school, championing its values. With our years of project management expertise, we provide a high-quality project management service, coordinating and delivering time-limited projects to support the school in achieving its strategic aims, vision and priorities. Our mission is to provide a professional and risk management approach whilst offering a tailored service including end-to-end leadership and coordination for project delivery.

At the Medical School, we value diversity and we are committed to recruiting and supporting staff and students from all sectors of society. The Hull York Medical School holds a Silver Athena SWAN award and we are committed to developing staff by actively encouraging the uptake of development opportunities.

**Role**:
We are seeking a self-motivated Project Coordinator, able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team to provide a range of project management services across Hull York Medical School.

With the guidance of Project Managers within the team, you will be responsible for supporting a varied range of projects and you will have the opportunity to lead on smaller projects and work packages. As such, you will have experience of using your initiative and problem-solving skills to independently manage and prioritise a varied workload. You will use your knowledge of project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of project activities, and you will support the creation and maintenance of key project documentation including action/risk logs and highlight reports. You will form constructive relationships with project stakeholders and contribute to an environment that encourages collaboration and enables the successful delivery of projects.

Applicants will show a commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion, and work in line with the School’s values; everyone counts, pursuing excellence, socially responsible and collaborative. This includes undertaking mandatory equality and diversity training and adhering to the principles outlined in the UK Medical School’s Charter on So-Called ‘Conversion Therapy’ and the British Medical Association (BMA) racial harassment charter for medical schools.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- You will have experience in a project delivery environment with good knowledge of how to use project management tools and techniques to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- You will have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to self-motivate and independently manage a varied workload to meet deadlines.
- You will be an effective team worker with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You will possess strong digital literacy (Google/Microsoft)
- You will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to understand interrelated issues and a desire to instil a high level of quality throughout the project life cycle.
- Level 3 qualification. (Qualifications at this level include A Levels and T Levels. Please view the full list). We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-UK qualifications or equivalent professional experience.

**Interview date: To be confirmed**

The University strives to be diverse and inclusive - a place where we can ALL be ourselves.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. #EqualityatYork
