Lincoln, United Kingdom Thrive Tribe Full time

**Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive**

At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier

We’re looking for **Children’s Healthy Lifestyle Coaches (bank contract) **to join our One You Lincolnshire service. Since July 2019 One You Lincolnshire has offered adults support in Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Alcohol Reduction, Physical Activity and Health Coaching.

The main aspect of this role, however, involves working on a new programme called gloji Energy that is **responsible for supporting children and their families to lead healthy lifestyles.** The innovative project will provide eligible Lincolnshire families a fun and engaging programme, that encourages them to eat healthier, increase their physical activity levels, improve their sleep and wellbeing. The holistic programme combines both one to one appointments and weekly group sessions for children aged 4 to 12 years, and their families.

Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.

Typical tasks as a **Children’s Healthy Lifestyle Coach** (bank contract) might include:

- Delivering a planned healthy lifestyle programme focusing on nutrition, movement, mind and sleep.
- Motivate, inspire and support children and parents/carers to adopt a healthier lifestyle, through a professional, knowledgeable and empathetic approach.
- Utilise behaviour change techniques to support families to complete their weekly missions.
- Occasionally deliver physical activity session that focus on age appropriate and engaging activities lasting for 45 minutes (where qualified).
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for children using our policies and procedures.
- Ensure due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements, and guidance.
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values

**About you...**

More than anything, we are looking for a team player who puts their heart in to their work. We’ve got some core values that run through everything we do, and we’d love it if they resonate with you too

**Be the change**

You like helping people. You’ll be working with those who need help the most, empowering them to make positive changes to thrive.

**Be effective**

You’re patient and can adapt under pressure. Always happy to make time for other people. And have a great attitude.

**Be happy**

You recognise the power of a smile. You value a fun, supportive workplace and want to come to work raring to go (check out our rating on Glassdoor).

**Be successful**

You are motivated and driven. Happy working solo or as part of a team, you love meeting targets. And will be given opportunities to contribute and develop your career.

**Be big-hearted**

You want to make a difference. Working with a like-minded team of optimistic people, we want the same thing to do meaningful work and change lives.

To work with us in this role you will need to have** experience of working with children aged 4 to 12 years old in a physical activity, coaching or nutrition setting. Knowledge and understanding of healthy lifestyles is essential. **Having an **adaptable and flexible approach **would be beneficial.** A physical activity or nutrition qualification would be desired.
However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job, we would love to hear from you.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone who is seeking a varied and flexible working pattern.

**Perks...**

Every person makes Thrive Tribe the incredible place it is to work and play together, we’re unstoppable. Within our buzzing environment our talented people work hard but we ensure lots of fun is thrown in too We offer you;
- **Flexible working** - we’re serious about life/work balance
- Access to **Mental Health First Aid training**, and other training courses
- Tailored **health and wellbeing support **such as access to life coaching
- **Rewards portal **offering discounts on shops, restaurants, and days out

**Contract**: Zero hours contract, Permanent.
- Typically the gloji Energy programme consists of 6 sessions, over a 6-week period. Ordinarily we expect you to be delivering multiple groups per week. Groups are likely to run in Lincoln, Boston, Grantham, Gainsborough_ _, Spalding and Ingoldmells. _

**_Working Pattern:_**_ This role involves delivering group programmes to children and their families, after school. Group delivery times typically would range from 15:30 to 19:00._
