Merrifield Consultants are pleased to be partnered with Basis Yorkshire who work against the exploitation of women and young people in Leeds. We are looking for a fundraising officer with experience in working with communities and businesses, to help develop and implement fundraising opportunities for the important and high profile work the charity does.

Job Title: Fundraising Officer
Organisation: Basis Yorkshire

**Salary**: £28,000
Contract: Permanent (28-35hrs)
Location: Leeds (Hybrid)
Closing date: 21st August

**Main responsibilities**
- Work with the Business Development Manager to support the development of a fundraising and communications calendar to maximize fundraising income.
- Identify and develop relationships with key community groups and individuals maximise income.
- Build a pipeline of activity to support income generation.
- Contribute to team meetings and organisational priorities, strategic goals and performance targets.
- Support the Business Development Manager in identifying opportunities and submitting proposal for small grants.

**Knowledge and skills**
- Understanding of relationship fundraising (charitable sector or comparable knowledge from other sector)
- Experience of working with a CRM system
- Proven track record of working to, meeting, and exceeding financial targets.
- Working in a professional, customer-facing environment with some office-based responsibilities Creative thinking and writing capability with attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated with ability to work alone as well as being a team player, managing own workload and priorities.
