**THE ROLE**
As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the full organisation in a generalist HR role, during a period of fast growth.
You will provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring that we maintain a positive and productive work environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and maintain a full generalist HR service to the business
- Be the main point of contact for operational HR matters throughout the business, including any employee concerns or issues.
- Responsible for all aspects of absence management and leave processes.
- Record and monitor employee absence data, noting any trends and promoting early intervention.
- Manage the full employee life cycle process including recruitment of new staff, new starter paperwork, onboarding, and exit procedures.
- Develop and maintain systems to lead absence management; conduct; performance management; grievances; and probation reviews.
- Ensure staff competency is assessed and improvements made regularly via regular performance reviews and succession planning.
- Collate and analyse People Data to formulate and propose appropriate HR action plans.
- Coach and support line managers with formal processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice, sharing with colleagues and the management team as appropriate.
- Support with annual appraisals and salary reviews.
- Provide advice and guidance on HR policy or procedural issues to employees and managers.
- Promote health and wellbeing throughout the business.
- Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee relations issues, conducting investigations when necessary, and providing recommendations for resolution.
- Maintain employee records and handle all HR administrative tasks.
- Focus on employee satisfaction, planning social initiatives and team building exercises

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise.
- Proven track record of delivering results within a generalist HR Officer or Advisor role.
- Minimum of 3 years experience handling employee relations matters, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong level of empathy and ability to build relationships.
- High degree of accuracy with all tasks, displaying a high attention to detail.
- Be a trusted advisor, offering views and building respect at all levels of the business.
- Strive to push the company's HR practices forward at all times.
- IT literate and proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Google Sheets and Docs.
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Ability to record and analyse People data, prompting early intervention.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification in People Practice.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection.

Finally, they will be charismatic and confident, happy interacting with different audiences and peers.
