**Job Overview**:
Wootton Medical Centre has a vacancy for a part-time Receptionist to join our team as temporary to permanent.
The role will be working 31.25 hours per week, over 5 days, on a two week rota pattern covering 07.45-18.30 hrs.

We are a busy village surgery with over 7,500 patients, 2 GP
Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 5 Nursing Staff and Reception and Administration Team.
Our Reception Team are the primary contact for our patients and are skilled in signposting patients to the most appropriate clinician by using care navigation. Our team have excellent customer service skills and have patient care at the forefront.
We are a small but busy team with no two days are the same; we are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, patient-friendly and hard working with a flexible attitude.

**Skills**:
We are looking for someone who can handle pressure, think on their feet within a busy and sometimes challenging environment. Customer Service is important to us along with a ‘can do’ attitude as no two days are the same.
Experience of working within General Practice would be an advantage but full training will be offered for the right person.
You will need to be calm, confident with an excellent telephone manner and good PC skills. Flexibility is a must as cover is required for leave.

Job Summary:
The Receptionist provides administration and reception support within the practice whilst projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors to the surgery
- Answer the telephones as a priority
- Deal with any problems in a courteous and respectful manner
- Use the computerised appointment system (SystmOne)
- Ensure all patients who need urgent care are accommodated according to practice protocols
- Respond to all queries and requests from patients and visitors
- Process tasks from clinicians and other colleagues
- Good customer care
Our Receptionist enjoy the variation to the role, no two days are same, a mix of duties to include answering the telephone, administration tasks away from the telephone to include referrals, insurance reports, and the like.
Duties and responsibilities may be varied from time to time under the direction of the
Practice Manager and / or Reception Supervisor, dependent on current and evolving workload and staffing levels.
