Rochdale Adult Care is pleased to offer a number of Casual opportunities to undertake the role of an Assessment & Support Planning Officer. Hours will be available across 7 days to suit individual needs and include weekend working alongside the weekend duty team.

This is an exciting time to join Rochdale as we move forward with integration between health and social care, further developing our locality teams and services to meet the needs of communities in new and innovative ways.

This will be an opportunity for you to undertake a paid role within a Statutory setting, further developing your knowledge and skills around Social Work Practice and Adult Care Legislation & Procedure while working alongside Social Workers and Advanced Practitioners.

In order to undertake these roles there will be mandatory training that will need to be completed in addition to some ongoing training and development sessions to build your confidence and knowledge of the role and the Adult Care ICT systems.

If you are successful through the recruitment process, you will be invited to undergo the relevant training and your details safely added to our casual register, where you will be contacted to determine your availability for the coming months. As these are casual roles, you will be paid for hours that you work each month, on submission of the relevant time sheets.

The 5 Locality Teams, Hospital and the Boroughwide Prevention Service, cover the various aspects of Adult Care assessment, support planning, Safeguarding & Risk Assessment work carried out for Adults 18 upwards, which offers practitioners a variety of case work and practice. The teams are:

Rochdale South

Rochdale North

Pennine

Heywood

Hospital Hub

Middleton

The post holders must be able to demonstrate an ability to travel around the Borough of Rochdale.
