Looking for a new role where you can make a difference every day? We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Mental Health Support Worker to join our service in Hackney

£23,019.36 per annum, working 40 hours per week, plus 25 days Annual Leave pro rata, Pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

Shift patterns are 9:45pm, to 8:15am, any 4 nights out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.

Look Ahead is a dynamic, leading, not-for-profit care and support provider in London and the South East. As an organisation we deliver over 110 services, providing support to around 7000 customers each year. We work across mental health, homelessness, young people and learning disabilities so there are plenty of opportunities to grow and progress your career with us.

We’re looking for a Waking Nights Mental Health Support Worker to join our Hackney service.

Felstead street is a CQC registered care home that provide care and support for 24 adults with high level mental health needs but also with complex physical health needs.

The service is commissioned by East London Foundation Trust and London Borough of Hackney to provide the person-centred care and support to both male and female residents with heavy focus on their choice and independence.The home is a purpose build to accommodate the various needs of residents as well as to promote the harmony in shared living environment. It is build on 2 floors with a large back garden and small courtyard.

As a Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an integral role as a part of the team by offering the continuity of care and support in every aspect of their needs in line with individual support and risk management plans, such as medication administration, emotional support and regular welfare check, personal care and so on.

**Essential**:

- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or above or experience in the social care/charity /mental health sector
- Basic IT skills
- Literacy and basic math

**Desirable**:

- Experience working in mental health
- Experience working in a CQC registered care setting experience

**Job Overview**:
As a Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an integral role as a part of the team by offering the continuity of care and support in every aspect of their needs in line with individual support and risk management plans, such as medication administration, emotional support and regular welfare check, personal care and so on.

You will be responsible for maintaining the security and H&S throughout the night with your colleague so that the safe living environment can be maintained at the vulnerable time of the day.

You will have infection control duty as well as domestic task duties.

Case work management is not included however you will be required to play the vital role in monitoring the residents mental and physical wellbeing during the shift and communicating the outcome to the day shift and management.
