We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer (Charity) to join a small, friendly and very busy team at the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST).

You will work closely with our charity team as well as crews and other staff, the media, and stakeholders across the NHS system to deliver excellent communications and engagement, and raise awareness for the EEAST Charity brand.

Working across the team, you will help to increase patient and wider public awareness of the charity and the services it provides.

This role is fixed term ending on 31st March 2024.

**You**:

- Must have experience of developing and implementing multi-channel communications campaigns.
- Will contribute to the successful overall performance of the EEAST Charity by implementing and managing digital channels and dovetailing with wider corporate planning.
- Support the charity strategy in effectively promoting the charity.
- Produce appropriate progress and performance reporting and ensure that evaluation and analysis informs future planning.
- Will have a good track record of using and developing digital and social media channels.
- Must have experience writing, published and promoting news articles and associated content.
- Empathise with the EEAST values of quality, teamwork, respect, care, and honesty.
- Will have demonstrable skills using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and will be confident in designing and producing a range of communications materials upon request.

**This postholder will**:

- Plan, co-ordinate and develop engaging content for social media and digital platforms in fitting with the Trust and EEAST Charity brand and values.
- Plan and implement a marketing strategy to demonstrate the full impact of the charity.
- Respond to enquiries from staff and the public on a daily basis, which can involve handling complex and sensitive information and developing appropriate responses to help protect the Trust and charity brand reputation.
- Participate in the design and creation of communications materials, such as posters, leaflets, graphics, photography and videography.
- Work closely and develop strong relationships with the head of charity and charity team, internal communications, media and public affairs colleagues within the communications team.
- Assist digital communications colleagues in maintaining our compliance in line with the The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018
