We are recruiting for a Communications Officer to increase the reach and impact of Saffron’s profile and visibility through the delivery of high value and influential communications. To work closely with the other members of the Communications Team and forge strong links with colleagues and external stakeholders to develop and implement communications strategies across a range of reactive and planned opportunities in print, media, events and online.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Create high quality written internal and external copy for different channels appropriate to different audiences.
- Respond to media enquiries in a timely and positive way. Maximise coverage of Saffron’s work by identifying strong stories and produce well written press releases.
- Stay ahead of the curve and identify emerging trends in the housing sector through horizon scanning.
- Assist in the smooth running of digital channels and content production/delivery.

- Relevant experience of working in a marketing or communications role.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment dealing with a number of changing priorities.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and data protection of business information.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively and confidently liaise with various audiences both in writing and verbally.
- Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet targets.
- Well organised and methodical with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need of close supervision.
