I am delighted to be recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant for the specialist SEND department of a large College in Stroud. You will be working with learners aged 18+ with severe learning disabilities, helping to integrate them into the wider world. You will help them with employability, food prep, general life skills, gaining independence etc. This work is long-term and has the potential to go permanent should the support go well. You will be working Monday to Friday, 6-7 hours per day - part-time will be considered.

The work you will do will be vital and will have a lasting impact on the students as they gain the confidence to explore options for after their time at the College. Whether it be remaining in a form of Education or going into the workplace, the students are supported to achieve this through tailored and individualised pathways.

**You must**:

- Have previous experience with SEND, whether it be in the classroom, from Support Work or a Psychology remit
- Be supportive, open-minded and have a genuine passion to support young adults with additional needs
- Be resilient
- Have a child and adult DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)

**Working with Long-Term Teachers**

**Salary**: £12.94-£14.94 per hour
