Bookkeeper duties and responsibilitiesYou’ll be responsible for several duties related to managing financial records these responsibilities may include:
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing digital copies
- Reconcile managed clients accounts for fees
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing VAT returns
- Credit Control (chasing of invoices internal and external
- Reconciling clients ledgers
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
- Preparing employee wages
- Weekly and month end payrolls for clients
- Managing employee expense claims
- Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
- Bank reconciliation of client accounts and funds. Allocating and checking funds for clients accounts.
Administrator duties and responsibilitiesYou’ll be responsible for keeping office documents organized and perform a range of tasks to support the staff/clients you work with. These duties typically include:
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Data entry, retrieval and database maintenance
- Creating and managing documents, spreadsheets and presentations
- Compiling reports
- Speaking to customers and clients to answer queries and resolve issues
