The shift pattern is Monday - Friday (flexible working arrangements considered)

Family Health Services Officer (Ophthalmic) You will provide a key role within the GP Appraisal function of the Board, coordinating annual appraisals of over 1300 GPs annually. The department acts as an enabling function providing General Medical Practitioners with the necessary advice and support associated with GP Appraisal and Revalidation to ensure compliance with their contractual obligations. The department supports NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde by ensuring that its statutory responsibilities are fulfilled in relation to the Appraisal and Revalidation of General Medical Practitioners. You will be responsible for managing, coordinating and implementing the GP appraisal process for the Local Appraisal Adviser, Associate Local Appraisal Advisor and the GP Appraisers ensuring that approx 1300 General Medical Practitioners in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde participate in an annual GP appraisal. You will be expected to manage your own workload and deal with conflicting priorities using your own initiative with mínimal supervision. You will be educated to Degree level at entry or have the equivalent experience in a healthcare environment, either primary or secondary care. Interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing, persuading, and the ability to form positive working relationships. Having the ability to deal with people at all levels and adopting a flexible approach as necessary. You should have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
