Your duties will involve everything from assessing customer requirements and responding to routine enquiries, through to monitoring budgets and resources. You will therefore need proven administrative experience, good IT and communication skills, plus GCSElevel qualifications or equivalent at grades A - C, including Maths and English.

Highly motivated, you will have the ability to work under pressure, be able to approach tasks with confidence and clarity, using your own initiative. You will need to be flexible in your approach, have the ability to work as part of a team and will be rewardedby great support from your team.

Part time working will not be considered for this position.

**Job Purpose**:
To develop and implement a comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support service to social care teams in order to meet service needs.

**Main Responsibilities**:
The duties involve but are not limited to;
- Providing support with communication.
- Letters.
- Telephone calls.
- Providing support for team managers and teams.
- Taking minutes.
- Booking rooms.
- Sending invitations.
- Distributing minutes and other reports/documents.
- Assist the social workers with collating information for chronologies, visits, agency checks, referral feedback and closures etc.
- Caseload management.
- Updating computer systems and databases.
- Scanning and electronic filing.
- Maintaining paper records (where appropriate).
- Tracking caseloads and data quality.
- Monitoring and updating spread sheets.
- Financial support
- Support with petty cash.
- Provisions.
- Purchase orders and assisting with procurement.
- Travel warrants.
- Providing support with legal process.
- Filing documents to court.

**Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Good standard of education including GCSE or equivalent grades A-C in Maths and English
- Good keyboard skills and computer literate in a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to present both verbal and written information, ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
- Able to work without close supervision

**Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Appropriate administrative experience.
