**Role Purpose**:
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Legal Services Department whilst maintaining a customer focused and professional approach.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Legal Services
- Provide customer focussed and professional first line response on all enquiries, face to face, telephone, and written correspondence
- Log, assess and allocate all correspondence, responding as appropriate
- Manage Legal Services filing system by creating, updating, prioritising and archiving
- Maintain Legal Services database ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Provide management information as required
- Provide advice and assistance on legal procedures to staff, officers and members of the public
- Provide personal assistance to office manager, solicitors, and head of department
- Undertake a broad range of legal administrative duties incorporating quality checks as appropriate, including post, photocopying, scanning, copying AV, typing, preparing and delivery of bundles to solicitors/barristers
- Organise and plan meetings, take minutes
- Order and maintain stationery levels
- Maintaining accurate electronic records
- Maintain risk register
- Any other duties associated with the role

**Skills and experience**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Administrative experience in an office environment
- Experience of managing a filing system and assessing and allocating correspondence
- Experience of customer/client care
- Able to maintain confidence and deal with sensitive issues

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Previous experience of working in a legal office environment
