**About the role**:
Your duties as a Special Collections Officer will include facilitating the patient’s experience by providing a world class service to our patients through a seamless patient journey with a high level of customer care at all times. As well as assisting the Patient Access Manager in the management and collection of a high volume/value Client aged debt portfolio across facilities London Bridge and Lister Hospital campuses. Also, to be responsible for providing hands on operation for the collection of debt via communication, statement and invoice provision in timely query management in order.

**Principle Duties**:

- Maintain accurate and up to date information on the Yardi Voyager and Meditech hospital aged debt database
- Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention
- Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the AR team
- Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO
- Liaise with central cashiers for allocation of payments and expedite collection at facility where applicable
- Ensure clients sign up to direct debit payment methods where applicable
- Raise collection correspondence
- Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed
- Liaise with customers, as well as internal personnel including the Business Development team
- Ensure that all administrative functions are carried out to the highest standard.
- Seek assistance from CFO or Patient Access Manager with any complex queries.
- Assist in the management of the Patient Access Consultant shared mailbox.
- Ensure all correspondence is received for latest client room rental licenses, medical secretary agreements etc
- Respond to telephone, written and face to face queries.
- Respond promptly to any client/third party requests.

**About you**:

- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft office)
- Excellent verbal communication skills including a professional, confident and calm approach
- Previous Administrative experience is essential, ideally private
- Excellent customer care skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures
- Problem solving ability including patient and consultant complaints
- Ability to gain a detailed knowledge of Meditech
- Strong team player
