An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the trust as the Lead for Quality Improvement (QI) & Clinical Outcomes for East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).

The Quality Improvement Faculty facilitates an organisation-wide approach to embedding continuous quality improvement in the Trust; key to this success is the leadership provided by the Lead for QI & Clinical Outcomes. The post will lead the development of the Clinical Outcomes Team which provide the Divisional expertise and support in the management of National & Clinical Audits.

The post-holder will work closely with colleagues in the Patient Safety & Patient Experience Teams, and across the Clinical Divisions and the Communications Team.

- Providing leadership, expert advice and oversight to enable the development of the Quality Improvement Faculty (QIF) within the organisation in line with the Trusts values and strategic direction.
- To lead the restructure and development of the Clinical Outcome Team within the organisation, ensuring the Trust has assurance of robust National & Clinical Audits, their outcomes, assurance and early identification of risk.
- Provide expertise in change management and transformation of the Clinical Outcome Team.
- Developing a KPI framework in order to measure the success of National & Clinical Audits.
- Provide assurance through the KPI framework in order to measure the success of QI.
- Providing oversight and reporting against the strategic plan for QI with an annual audit review
- Working in an advisory capacity for revision of systems and processes that will affect procedural documents.
- Supporting the Divisions to scope best practice from local, national and international service improvement programmes in order to develop and deliver an innovative, locally shaped QI programme in order to support the delivery of outstanding care across clinical, corporate and support services.
- Develop, deliver, align and prioritise improvement programmes and projects that may span multiple service areas.
- Lead the capability-building function of Quality Improvement Programmes.
- Define and analyse complex problems. Promoting a positive QI working environment by promoting teamwork, acknowledging good practice and enhancing job satisfaction.
- Where appropriate take the lead for key major improvement projects where the complexity and/or cross organisational impact requires senior and experienced leadership to ensure delivery.
- Attend and participate in Trust, Regional and National meetings, as related to National & Clinical Audit and QI.
- Align with the Clinical Services Strategy, Trust Strategy, and other NHS and social care providers, by maximising collaborative and joint working.
- Develop relationships with the ICB, NHS Institutes, local Universities, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the Eastern Academic Health Science Network.
