**Position**: Democratic Services Business Support Officer

**Rate**: £16.80 per hour (Umbrella)

**Contract Duration**: 2 months (with possible extension)

**Working Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To work as part of a team under the direction of the Democratic Services to service a number of committees, panels and working parties and undertake any administrative tasks arising from meetings.
- Service meetings of various Committees, Panels, Working Parties and other meetings by the electronic preparation of agendas, reports and minutes.
- Attending meetings assigned and taking notes.
- Liaising, as necessary, with officers of the Council and outside bodies.
- Supervise the procedure for the opening of tenders by Chairmen of the appropriate Committee or Panel.

**Job Requirements**:

- Intermediate administrative qualification (such as BTEC National or NVQ Level 3) or previous relevant work experience.
- Experience of planning and organising tasks and achieving work by specific deadlines.
- Knowledge of the county council's Constitution and decision-making processes.
