**JOB PURPOSE**:

- The Head of Compliance will be ultimately accountable for maintaining accreditation within Client's, overseeing our operating procedures, promoting and ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across our all of our customer accounts.

**Role Overview**:

- ** People**:

- Develop and promote an effective team culture across the department, aligned to Client and client's values.
- Recruit, lead, coach and motivate your team to deliver first class service levels.
- Develop effective talent management and succession plans for the account, ensuring regular 121 review, appraisal, and PDP planning meetings are held in line with the employee lifecycle.
- Ensure skills levels are maintained and mandatory training needs are delivered across the account.
- Ensure company policies and practises (e.g., discipline and grievance, absence management, performance management, etc.) are implemented consistently across the account.
- Support managers in the development of engagement action plans for their teams, based on feedback from engagement surveys, listening groups and team meetings. Review and follow up to ensure effective implementation and performance improvements.
- Ensure the effective cascade of all Client communications through established ways of working, such as regular team meetings and cascade calls.
- Ensure underperformance within the account is managed through our agreed processes.
- Create a culture of reward and recognition with your teams, using our agreed recognition tools.

Monitor and oversee compliance at a senior level, driving improvement across the business through effective influence, challenge and guidance to the operational teams.

Evaluate the efficiency of controls and drive continuous improvement.

Oversee and implement the businesses quality management systems in relation to planned and re-active maintenance services.

Work directly with customer teams on continual improvement plans in relation compliance activities

Ensure compliance reporting is fit for purpose and engage with internal business stakeholders for any none conformance or improvements required
- ** Process**

Lean a strategy and ways of working for operational delivery that will ensure that all planned compliance tasks are carried out in a timely manner and schedules are adhered to.

Lead and implement reporting tools, monitoring and methodologies which will evidence compliance performance, both internally and externally.

Support the operational teams in managing any non-compliance, escalating to business Managing Director and Senior Leadership team any areas of risk

**People Responsibilities**:
5 key direct reports and wider team of c25

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
Previous experience of leading and managing remote teams of senior managers within a fast-moving customer service environment (e.g. retail / hospitality) is essential.

A working knowledge of the maintenance service within the FM industry is essential, with previous working knowledge of a multi-client contracted environment being desirable, and PPM and compliance background.

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a core engineering discipline or professional compliance area.

Previous experience of developing client relationships at a senior level would be advantageous.

Strong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating, and presenting performance data along with a good understanding of the CAFM systems.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent planning, organising, prioritisation and project management skills.

Strong results focus takes accountability for own performance and that of the team.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making

Highly flexible and self-starting. The role will have many challenges and a flexible approach will be needed.
