Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,400 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services and are very much in a growth phase. Boeing Defence UK is currently looking for a strong generalist skilled Product Data Management Specialist to support new business proposals within Information Systems (IS) and Communications.

Boeing Defence UK Engineering operates a matrix construct, with engineering departments delivering technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. You will join the Configuration Management and Data Management team, which develops and delivers our product configuration and data procedures, tools and people across multiple programmes using many CMDM technical capabilities.

As a Product Data Management Specialist for Information Systems & Communications programmes, you will call upon your robust mix of CMDM knowledge and experience to develop and deliver solutions for new business opportunities. You will report to a BDUK CMDM Manager whilst being technically supported by the CMDM Technical Leads and our other capability specialists within the department.

In your role you shall:

- Define, document and interpret product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes.
- Develop, document and implement plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
- Track and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; supporting audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.
- Assist with development certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.
- Updating (software) and maintaining virtual environments where technical information is shared to multiple sites and managing provision of offline backup systems.
- Controlling access to, and carrying out user account audits for electronic environments.
- Assisting with activities to identify and document product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data management, and engineering processes.
- Assisting with plans and processes to ensure product meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
- Liaising with integrated project teams to create and maintain a review and approval process for supplier deliverables including collaborating with colleagues overseas.
- Ensuring deliverables meet quality, configuration and contractual requirements in accordance with statements of work.
- Supporting the use of controlled document management systems (iPDM) and electronic delivery methods across the programs.
- Administering data, including government furnished information, hardcopy publications in a configured manner
- Collaborating with other functions and customer to resolve issues with the provision of technical information to suppliers.
- Supporting the monitoring of adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements.
