Job Description: Health & Safety Consultant

Location: Kent (Remote working with regular site visits across Kent)

**Salary**: £45,000 per annum

Our company, based in Kent, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join our team. As a Health & Safety Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and clients by implementing effective health and safety policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site visits across Kent to assess and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying potential hazards and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Advise and educate employees and management on health and safety practices, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and industry standards, ensuring compliance and making necessary adjustments to policies and procedures as required.
- Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their tasks safely.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the health and safety sector, preferably in the construction industry.
- NEBOSH qualification (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop proactive solutions.
- Proficiency in using computer software and tools for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
- Own transport and a valid driving license are essential due to regular site visits across Kent.
