Our client a Regional affordable housing organisation require a Corporate Health & Safety Manager to join there expanding corporate team to lead on the safety function.

The Corporate Health & Safety Manager will be expected to provide a key role providing leadership and to ensure that a team deliver high quality health and safety capability across the whole organisation.

This will be to initiate to achieve and maintain organisational compliance with health and safety legislation, codes of practice and guidance through an agile and risk focussed service delivery model.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Accountable for the Health and Safety Policy including the supporting safety framework, which provides the overarching health and safety management system.
- Accountable for the provision of appropriate, robust management information and assurance for information for the Board, Executive Board, Health & Safety Leadership Group, Audit & Risk Committee and other stakeholders on health and safety matters.
- Accountable for the provision of incident management and business continuity framework.
- Line management of the Safety Services Manager and Safety Assurance & Insights Specialist
- Accountable for the preparation and delivery of the annual Safety Services Action Plan.
- Development and coaching of the Safety Services team to ensure continued professional competence, skills, and knowledge.
- Ensure that the annual training and development programme is in place for the whole organisation and that the training matrix is fit for purpose and implemented.
- Liaise with HSE and other external agencies, service providers, suppliers and contractors as required.
- Formulate, gain approval for and retain oversight of the H&S budget. Monitor, record, and report on performance against budget, standards, and targets.
- Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to corporate objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:

- You should have demonstrable experience in a similar senior role, delivering the safety services strategy and leading health and safety services across a large organisation.
- Demonstrate strong leadership or management attributes.
- Experience in managing, motivating, and developing a remote team
- You will champion safety across the organisation; enhancing and developing our strong safety culture, so relationship building, and stakeholder engagement skills are important.
- Excellent IT skills and should be forward thinking and inquisitive. You will be excited by the opportunity to try new approaches and initiatives, being flexible in your approach and comfortable adapting to change.
- There may be some travel required with this role across our operating area so you should have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle and be happy to travel.

You will ideally have a minimum further education qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) and / or relevant NEBOSH / IOSH diploma (or equivalent) qualifications.

You will also preferably have experience of working within an affordable housing provider or Public Sector property organisation. Any experience within housing, construction or maintenance would be preferred however not essential.

You will also be experienced of reporting to Executive management teams & board level.
