**HR Co ordinator**

To strengthen and support the HR department through providing an accurate and effective HR administration service and act as a positive ambassador on behalf of UK Salads.

To ensure that we are legally compliant in terms of Right to Work checks, employee training records and that other HR data such as Time and Attendance / Sickness, is up to date.

Working in Partnership with all key Stake Holders / Line Managers, in a positive manner that is solution driven.

The role will also support the execution of UK Salads People Plan in order to achieve our business objectives and identified HR deliverables.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Creating and maintaining employee records.
- Managing the T & A system.
- Overseeing the On Boarding and Off Boarding process for starters/ leavers.
- Acting as a positive advocate and instilling a duty of care to all of our employees.
- Key fob management and all aspects of absence holiday, sickness etc.
- Preparing template letters, offers and contracts for issuing.
- Ensuring Right to work checks are carried out and that regular audits are in place to ensure compliance with Home Office / Government requirements.
- Preparing all starter packs and conducting inductions for all new employees with the support of the HR / other Departments, such as Technical and H & S.
- Dealing with Employee Relations issues and escalating to the HR Manager.
- Conducting Interviews.
- Development and implementation of new HR projects including recruitment, training and communications.
- Providing correct PPE for new employees which will include reordering and replenishing of stock
- Supporting Line Managers in conducting low level absence hearing cases.
- Supporting the HR Manager with the delivery of the UK Salads People Plan.
- Preparing weekly reports for the HR Manager on HR KPI’s & metrics.
- Working with HR Manager on department improvements.
- Taking minutes for the HR Manager / Line Managers to support with ER matters.
- Preparing weekly hours report on employees to ensure compliance with Ethical Trade Initiative Basecode.
- Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related queries.
- Assisting Finance with payroll by ensuring hours are correct on T & A system for weekly paid employees.
- Supporting finance with loading Starters / Leavers / Holiday, onto the payroll system
- Ensuring all training records are filed and recorded in line with customer audit requirements.
- Booking training for employees in line with the UK Salads training policy.
- Advise managers on correct policies and procedures with the support from the HR Manager.
- Issuing electric cards and gas bottles to employees that have accommodation with UK Salads.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS (educational plus other requirements)**

**Education & Qualifications.**

GSCE in Maths & English.

Ideally aiming towards CIPD Level 5 but not essential as experience

and knowledge will be considered.

**Experience & Knowledge.**

Experience of on / off boarding seasonal workers an advantage but not essential.

Great people skills.

Proficient with using HR systems.

Understanding of the Payroll process (Acting Time or similar).

To ability to build professional relationships with all employees across the business.

Personal Attributes, Communication & Interpersonal Skills.

Excellent written and communication skills.

The ability to plan and prioritise tasks.

Very good organisational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Understanding of a further European language, would be considered an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
