We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Landscapes team in the Cambridgeshire Region. This role will require you to manage and deliver a cost effective service to both internal and external contracts in relation to soft services.

As a Contracts Manager within the Landscapes Division of Places for People you will manage a number of both direct labour and sub contract teams from our Depot in Huntingdon across Cambs, Northants, Beds, Herts, Norfolk and Suffolk. Your role will be operationally focused, working closely with your team (s), building relationships through training, coaching, staff development and the organisation of your staff team's rotas.

You will take the lead to actively promote and demonstrate the Group's commitment to effective health and safety, working with both staff and contractors to ensure that all requirements are adhered to.

Preferably located in the Cambridgeshire area and working both from the local Depot and home you will require flexibility to cover a wide geographical area across your region, some overnight stays are anticipated as part of this role.

You will continually identify innovative and safe working practices, as well as following and implementing budgetary controls. You will act as the line manager for an operational workforce of internal and external contractors monitoring and managing work volumes and ensuring the high level service delivery.

You will build effective relationships with both internal staff, customers and contractors through effective communication and engagement. As our Contract Manager you will ensure that all work carried out adhered to our SPIRIT values in line with the strategy and objectives set by the Head of Operations, Group Directors and Board.
