We are responsible for the entire range of children’s education, health and social care services in all three boroughs. The role of the School Admissions Officer will work in close liaison with the Head of School Admissions and the Senior Admissions Officers to fulfil the statutory duty to provide a school place for children living in the borough when parents or carers request one.

About you

We are looking for someone who can work flexibly, both independently and collaboratively, to achieve shared outcomes and meet statutory deadlines.

To be a School Admissions Officer, you will demonstrate:

- Educated to GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English
- Experience of administering school admissions or other cyclical processes and procedures, with proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making.
- Knowledge, or ability to acquire knowledge, of statutory legislation, policy, guidance and procedures in relation to School Admissions.
- Experience of providing high quality customer care to a diverse client group, with the resilience and ability to work under pressure at peak times
- Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
