Brands Procurement Officer

Meiyume - Are creators and innovators providing solutions in colour cosmetics, fragrance, skin care, hair care, and oral care for world class brands, retailers and direct marketers. They offer a full range of expert services, including design, engineering, formulation, filling, packaging, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, static and interactive point-of-sale display plus smart, retail responsive data analytics.
Within the Meiyume portfolio are our own brands, which is where this role will be held. These are Collection Cosmetics, Make Up Gallery, Witch Skin care, Bristow’s Hair Care, Vosense Hair care and Simple and Wrights bar soap.
**About the role**:
We are looking for a talented buyer with the ability to adapt swiftly and effectively to changing business requirements and challenge. You will be accountable for the supply of finished goods and components to meet the requirements of our customer base. This includes meeting cost, delivery, quality, and service needs.
This is a key role within our team as you will be dealing with our global supply chain. You will need to be organised and methodical. Attitude is really important - you must be approachable and be able to build rapport.
**Key responsibilities**
- Place all purchase order requirements across our brand portfolio
- Work with the supply and demand planners to maximise commercial opportunities and minimise areas of risk by regularly reviewing performance and trends and re-planning accordingly.
- Confirm order books with all live suppliers
- Complete packaging wastage reports using systems such as Vowpack
- Consistently look up to 6 months out
- Produce forward 12m procurement plans
- Liaise with export and logistics to ensure stock is available at the right time into the right warehouse to achieve the commercial plan
- Analyse supplier delivery performance
- Build relationships and work closely with the product, sales and marketing teams to ensure plans are executed effectively and that stock levels are communicated and agreed in line with plans
- Deliver KPI’s set by the business
**About you**
- Experience in buying
- High level of accuracy
- Confident with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Experience working with an MRP system
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to proactively work towards challenging deadlines through multitasking
- High levels of initiative and proactivity
- Strong commercial acumen
- Good time management and workload organisation
- Strong attention to detail
