**Introduction to role**:
Join AstraZeneca’s award-winning Procurement function and growing Biologics business unit, where you will assume responsibility for assigned spend with major site suppliers. Located within our second largest Drug Substance manufacturing plant in Speke, Liverpool, you will be part of a site going through an exciting period of change and responsible for global delivery of up to 20 million Flu vaccine doses each year. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's lives with life-changing medicines

**Accountabilities**:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will develop and manage business relationships with key suppliers, overseeing the procurement process and monitoring business spend against budgeted savings. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining Supply Agreements for your allocated area. You will forge strong working relationships with your peers in the Global Procurement Organisation to identify and lead improvement initiatives and project teams in support of longer-term business strategy. You will also liaise closely with partners to develop and implement strategic sourcing category plans for the site, including resourcing of cases and solutions.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Solid Procurement experience preferably within an Operations environment
- Passion for Sustainability & Change
- Excellent Business Partnering skills
- Resilience to work in a challenging environment
- Influencing & Networking skills
- Supplier Management experience

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Procurement experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG or major regulated manufacturing environments
