We are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team in Buckinghamshire. This is a full time position and will involve working across the inpatient stroke pathway.
The successful applicant will work alongside our qualified speech and language therapists to support people with communication and swallowing difficulties following a stroke. You will work under the guidance of a qualified speech and language therapist to screen need, and provide tailored therapy, for people with communication and swallowing difficulties.
You will assist with the development of therapy resources as well as with paperwork related to admission, discharge and audit.
You will need to have excellent organisation skills, be able to manage and prioritise your own workload and to work well in a team.
The post holder will be a valued member of the speech and language therapy department, and fully supported to develop their skills for working with adults predominantly with a stroke diagnosis.
